This Week in the Shack

This week's program is probably the most eclectic I've ever done. It begins with a work song Alan Lomax recorded at a Mississippi prison in the 1940s, and ends with a Tom Waits lullaby. In between, it moves through country, alt-country, American rock & roll, Celtic music, folk, bluegrass, a spiritual that dates back to slavery days, and Americana.
