Eighties Friday
This is my first new eighties set since, um, Halloween. Maybe I should go back to calling it "Irregular Eighties Fridays".
Anyway. Right. Eighties music. Continuing to show that there were actually more good songs recorded in the decade than the twelve or fifteen that crappy Clear Channel stations cycle through in their half-assed retro shows.

A Request to the Hivemind
If you know of good writing on the downtown NYC live music club scene in the late 70s/ early 80s (The Mudd Club, Danceteria, The Roxy, CBGBs, etc.), please drop me a line and tip me off to it. I've read Yes Yes, Y'all and Last Night a DJ Saved My Life, and have All Hopped Up and Ready to Go near the top of my stack of books to read. I can't help feeling that there must be more out there, though, particularly on that area where punk and hip-hop were brushing up against each other in the clubs.
